Happy Hour & Dinner Deals at Mirabelle on Sunset

I love finding a good deal at a good restaurant. I recently learned about not one, but two special deals available throughout 2010 at Mirabelle on Sunset (West Hollywood). I haven't visited yet myself, so if you beat me to it, please let me know about your experience. Here are the details:

Monday through Friday, enjoy happy hour from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Happy hour includes $5 martinis, house wines priced from $3.50-$5, a selection of imported oysters for $1.50 each, and an array of half-priced appetizers such as Ahi Tuna Tartar, Pizza Margarita, Crispy Atlantic Calamari and more.

Every night this year, Mirabelle is offering a special 1971 menu (in honor of its founding year) featuring a three-course meal for $19.71. Choices include a Mirabelle Chopped Salad, Caesar Salad, or Classic Crab Bisque for the first course, Angel Hair Pasta, Chicken Dijon, or Hangar Steak for the second course, and a variety of ice cream flavors for the dessert course.

Make sure you also check out the upcoming Restaurant Week LA. For two weeks (Jan. 24-29 and Jan. 31 - Feb. 5), you can enjoy restaurant deals all around town!

LA Restaurant Week: Jan. 24-29 & Jan. 31-Feb. 5

Restaurant Week is one of my favorite "events" of the year. Tons of LA restaurants offer 3-course lunches and dinners at a fixed price. This year, you can enjoy Restaurant Week for two full weeks! January 24-29, 2010 and January 31-February 5, 2010.

I try to use the week to visit new restaurants and return to places I love. The most popular restaurants book up quickly, so I recommend that you call for reservations soon at any place you're interested in visiting.

Click here to see the full list of participating restaurants. There's a guide for the prix fix cost at each spot. Below are the price ranges.

$        Deluxe Dining: $16 (Lunch) $26 (Dinner)
$$      Premier Dining: $22 (Lunch) $34 (Dinner)
$$$    Fine Dining: $28 (Lunch) $44 (Dinner)

I highly recommend that you consider having dinner during Restaurant Week at Piccolo in Venice. It's a small, charming Italian place that's completely off the beaten path. The food is delicious and the dining experience is excellent. Portions are not huge, but a 3-course dinner for $44 is a steal here.

Free Garden Body Scrub at Victoria's Secret With Any Beauty Purchase

I find Victoria's Secret items to be a little pricey, but their sales and coupons offer generous discounts. So I usually wait until a sale, couple that with coupons I've stashed, and then I load up on items at a steep discount.

Victoria's Secret is offering a coupon that's worth printing. Receive a free full-size Garden Body Scrub with any beauty purchase (no expiration date on the coupon!). That works out nicely if you use the coupon soon because there are huge sales going on in-stores right now (that's right, it's the semi-annual sale). Many of last season's items are marked down by half (or more) in both the beauty and lingerie areas.
